Where We Travel
We're based at 2520 N Triviz Dr in Las Cruces, and most of our calls come from right around town and the areas close to it. That includes Mesilla and Mesilla Park, both about 4 miles out, and University Park, also about 4 miles. We also take calls from Radium Springs and Mesquite, roughly 12 miles from our shop, and we'll go as far as La Mesa (15 miles), Vado (16 miles), or White Sands (18 miles) depending on the day and the job. If you're outside that ring, call anyway - we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to come out.
Housing in this area runs mostly 1980s and 1990s construction, with some stock going back to 1969 and up through 2003. That matters for quotes because doors and openers from that era often use hardware sizes and mounting styles that newer parts don't match without an adapter or a full swap. We see this across the seven areas we regularly work in, not just one neighborhood.

Plain Answers
A quote is only as good as what we know before we show up. Door width and height, whether it's a single or double, the brand and rough age of the opener, and what's actually happening - won't open, opens partway, makes a bang, sags on one side - all change the number. Photos help more than a description over the phone.
What we can't price sight unseen: spring size and cycle rating (they vary by door weight, and getting it wrong means a spring that fails early), whether a bent track can be straightened or needs replacing, and whether an opener's problem is the motor, the board, or just the sensors. Any of those needs a look at the actual door.
Given the median household income in our service area sits around $50,000, we try to give a repair-first estimate when a repair is realistic, and only recommend replacement when the door or opener is far enough gone that a repair won't hold. Call 1-575-240-7658 or use the request form and we'll get back to you with next steps.

How old is a typical garage door in Las Cruces?
Most houses in this area were built between 1969 and 2003, with the median right around 1986, so the door and opener you've got are likely from that same window unless someone's already replaced them. That's roughly the range where torsion springs start wearing out and openers start losing their safety sensors.
Do you work in Mesilla or University Park?
Yes, both are about 4 miles from our base and we run calls there regularly. Mesilla Park is just southeast of that same distance. We also cover Radium Springs and Mesquite around 12 miles out, and go as far as La Mesa, Vado, and White Sands when scheduling allows.
Why did my spring break with no warning?
Torsion springs are rated for a set number of open-close cycles, and most homes here are running hardware from the 80s or 90s that's well past that count. They don't usually give warning - one day the door won't lift, or it drops fast on the way down. That's the spring giving out.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace my door?
It depends on what's original versus already replaced. If the spring hardware on an older door is a discontinued size, a repair can end up close to the cost of a partial replacement. We'll tell you which situation you're in before we start any work, not after.
